Background checks are conducted for each and every driver


Service Information

  • Order details (pickup/drop-off info)
  • Current location
  • Package-related information (non-sensitive)


Vehicle Information

  • Drivers License information
  • Insurance Information
  • Insurance registration
  • Vehicle - Make & Model


Bank & Payment Information

  • Bank information is collected for payment 
  • Payments are processed by Stripe.
  • We do not store full payment card details.



2. How We Use Information

We use your data to:

  • Provide and operate the Service
  • Process transactions
  • Communicate with you
  • Improve the app experience



3. Data Sharing

We may share data with:

  • Drivers (for completing deliveries)
  • Customers (for completing deliveries)
  • Payment processors
  • Service providers supporting app functionality

We do not sell your personal data.


4. Location Data

  • We track drivers location to insure the safety and execution of our returns
  • Drivers will not be tracked when they are offline



5. Data Security

We implement reasonable safeguards to protect your information but cannot guarantee absolute security.



6. Your Rights

Depending on your location (including states like California), you may have rights to:

  • Access your data
  • Request deletion
  • Correct inaccuracies

Terms & Conditions - Customer

Farewell Returns (Farewell LLC)
Effective Date: May 1, 2026


1. Overview

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Farewell Returns mobile application and related services (the "Service") operated by Farewell LLC ("Farewell," "Company," "we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.



2. Description of Service

Farewell Returns provides an on-demand package return service where independent drivers pick up pre-packaged items with prepaid shipping labels and deliver them to designated carrier locations, including USPS, FedEx, and UPS.


What We Do

  • Pick up packages from customers locations
  • Confirm pickup via scan 
  • Transport packages to carrier locations
  • Obtain drop-off confirmation via scan

What We Do Not Do

  • Package items
  • Create shipping labels
  • Verify shipping labels (other than scanning tracking number)
  • Guarantee carrier acceptance
  • Process QR-code-only returns (at this time)


3. Eligibility

To use the Service, you must be at least 18 years of age.

You must have a valid drivers license

You must have valid and active vehicle insurance

By using Farewell Returns, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.



4. User Responsibilities

By using the Service, you agree that:

  • All packages are securely sealed and ready for transport
  • Shipping labels are correctly attached and fully visible
  • Package contents comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Information provided to Farewell is accurate and complete
  • You are responsible for return eligibility with the retailer


Prohibited Items

You may not use the Service to transport:

  • Firearms or weapon-related products
  • Explosives or ammunition
  • Hazardous materials
  • Illegal substances
  • Stolen goods
  • Any item prohibited by law or carrier policy


*Farewell reserves the right to refuse service for any package suspected of containing prohibited items.



5. Pricing & Payments

Standard Pricing

  • $12.99 per standard return order
  • $2.00 for each additional package
  • $17.99 for oversized packages

Standard Earnings

  • $4 for oversized packages
  • $1 for each additional package
  • $6 for oversized packages

Optional Driver Tips

  • Customers may provide an optional tip after pickup.


Payment Processing

  • Payments are securely processed through Stripe or other approved payment providers.

Service Timing

  • Farewell strives to complete returns within approximately one hour of pickup. However, all pickup and delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed.



6. Cancellations & Refunds

Order Cancellations

  • Orders may be canceled at any time before a driver has picked up the package.
  • Once a package has been picked up, the order may no longer be canceled.

Failed Pickups

If a driver arrives and:

  • The package is not available
  • The package is improperly prepared
  • The package lacks a valid shipping label

*You may still be charged for the scheduled service.


Refund Eligibility

Refunds may be issued if:

  • A driver fails to complete the service
  • Pickup cannot be completed due to a driver-related issue
  • A package is verified as lost or stolen while in a driver's possession

Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be issued:

  • After successful carrier drop-off
  • For carrier delays
  • For carrier losses
  • For rejected or refused returns
  • For issues caused by incorrect labels or retailer return policies



7. Independent Contractor Relationship

Drivers using the Farewell platform are independent contractors and are not employees of Farewell LLC.

Farewell does not control:

  • The routes drivers take
  • How drivers perform services beyond platform standards and training
  • Exact timing of pickups or drop-offs beyond the estimated service window



8. Liability & Risk Allocation

Assumption of Risk

You acknowledge and agree that all items are transported at your own risk.


Limited Liability

Farewell LLC's maximum liability is limited to $100.00 per order, and only in cases involving:

  • Verified driver theft
  • Verified package loss while in a driver's possession


No Liability After Carrier Drop-Off

Once a package has been accepted by a carrier, including USPS, FedEx, or UPS, Farewell LLC is no longer responsible for the package.

This includes:

  • Lost shipments
  • Delayed shipments
  • Damaged shipments
  • Rejected or refused returns
  • Carrier errors of any kind


High-Value Items

Customers are strongly discouraged from using the Service to transport high-value items.

Farewell LLC assumes no responsibility for losses exceeding the stated liability limit.



9. Service Limitations

Farewell reserves the right to:

  • Refuse service for any item or package
  • Cancel orders deemed unsafe, fraudulent, or inappropriate
  • Modify service areas
  • Change service availability without notice



10. Account Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Engage in fraudulent activity
  • Abuse the platform
  • Attempt to transport prohibited items
  • Interfere with Farewell operations or drivers



11. Dispute Resolution

Binding Arbitration

Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration rather than through court proceedings, except where prohibited by law.


No Class Actions

You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.


Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and interpreted under the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.



12. Changes to These Terms

Farewell may update these Terms from time to time.

Any changes become effective upon posting. Continued use of the Service after updates are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
