2. Background Checks and Verification
By using the Service, you acknowledge that Farewell Returns may conduct background checks, driving record reviews, identity verification procedures, and other screening processes.
Failure to satisfy these requirements may result in denial of access to the platform or deactivation.

1. Independent Contractor Relationship
Driver is an independent contractor and not an employee, agent, partner, franchisee, joint venturer, or representative of Farewell LLC.
Nothing in this Agreement creates an employment relationship.
Driver is free to determine when, where, and whether to provide services.
Driver is under no obligation to accept any particular delivery opportunity.
Either party may terminate this Agreement at any time, with or without cause, subject to applicable law.
2. Eligibility Requirements
Driver must:
• Be at least 18 years old
• Possess a valid driver's license
• Maintain legally required automobile insurance
• Maintain a legally registered vehicle
• Successfully complete background screening and identity verification
• Provide accurate information
Failure to satisfy these requirements may result in denial or deactivation.
3. Driver Responsibilities
Driver agrees to:
• Personally perform all services
• Use their own vehicle
• Maintain all licenses and insurance
• Follow applicable laws
• Deliver packages only to approved carrier locations
• Obtain proof of drop-off when required
• Immediately report accidents, losses, or suspicious activity
4. Account Ownership
Driver accounts are personal and non-transferable.
Driver may not share credentials or permit another individual to perform services under Driver's account.
Violation of this section may result in immediate suspension or termination.
5. Driver Control
Driver determines:
• Whether to go online
• Whether to accept opportunities
• Which opportunities to accept
• Routes used
• Hours worked
Farewell Returns does not guarantee any minimum number of opportunities or earnings.
6. Driver Expenses
Driver is solely responsible for:
• Fuel
• Vehicle maintenance
• Repairs
• Insurance
• Cell phone expenses
• Taxes
• Tolls
• Parking fees
• Any other business expenses
7. Taxes
Driver is solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes arising from payments received through the platform.
Driver acknowledges that Farewell Returns does not withhold taxes.
8. Package Responsibility
Driver assumes responsibility for packages only after physically taking possession from the customer.
Driver remains responsible while transporting packages.
Responsibility ends upon successful delivery to an approved carrier location and obtaining proof of drop-off when required.
Farewell Returns and Driver are not responsible for carrier delays, losses, rejections, or errors occurring after carrier acceptance.
9. Prohibited Conduct
Driver shall not:
• Open packages
• Transport prohibited items
• Falsify deliveries
• Share accounts
• Harass customers
• Drive recklessly
• Commit fraud
• Misrepresent identity
10. Background Checks
Driver authorizes Farewell Returns to conduct background checks, driving record reviews, and identity verification procedures.
Failure to satisfy these requirements may result in denial or deactivation.
11. Insurance
Driver must maintain legally required automobile insurance.
Any supplemental insurance offered by Farewell Returns, if any, shall be governed by the terms of the applicable policy and does not replace Driver's own insurance obligations.
12. Earnings and Payouts
Payouts are processed through Stripe.
Farewell Returns may withhold, delay, or reverse payouts when necessary to investigate fraud, chargebacks, policy violations, or disputes.
13. Suspension & Termination
Farewell Returns may suspend or terminate access for:
• Fraud
• Theft
• Unsafe driving
• Account sharing
• Customer complaints
• Expired license
• Lapsed insurance
• Failed background checks
• Violation of this Agreement
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Farewell Returns shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
15. Identification
Driver agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Farewell LLC and its owners, officers, employees, and affiliates from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from:
• Driver's negligence
• Driver's violation of law
• Driver's breach of this Agreement
• Driver misconduct
16. Dispute Resolution
Binding Arbitration
Any dispute arising from this Agreement shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
Class Action Waiver
Driver agrees to resolve disputes individually and waives participation in any class action.
17. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Illinois.
18. Changes to Agreement
Farewell Returns may modify this Agreement at any time.
Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of updates.
